This compact laneway home was designed to meet zoning height and setback requirements while still delivering on the homeowners’ wish for two bedrooms and plenty of natural light. We proposed an efficient layout with the kitchen and living on the main floor, a full bedroom, bathroom, and laundry upstairs, and a second bedroom tucked into the attic.

Despite the tight footprint, smart space planning and carefully placed windows created a bright, open feel without compromising privacy. We also included a new detached garage, ensuring the design met both city bylaws and the client’s everyday needs.
